Joke For The Day

So, two teachers walk out of the school building after being fired.

Where is the punchline?  There isn't one.  It is a sad truth.  If you are willing to lie, cheat, be unethical, be immoral, and deny children their free and appropriate education you will have a job for life.  If you are not, you will be fired, abused, retaliated against, or blackballed.  Not very funny is it?

More than 200,000 kids spanked at school - CNN.com (CNN)  -- More than 200,000 children were spanked or paddled in U.S. schools during the past school year, human rights groups reported Wednesday. Schools in 21 states can use corporal punishment. "Every public school needs effective methods of discipline, but beating kids teaches violence, and it doesn't stop bad behavior," wrote Alice Farmer, the author of a joint report from Human Rights Watch and the American Civil Liberties Union. "Corporal punishment discourages learning, fails to deter future misbehavior and at times even provokes it." Read this list carefully. Notice how much these folks all interact? They are on so many boards together. Is there anywhere in Lee's Summit where REAL people have a SAY?!!! There is even someone from the Kansas City Star on here. Guess that is why we can't get the Star to do an objective report out here. Established in 1993, the Lee's Summit Educational Foundation raises, manages, and distributes funds for educational programs that benefit students, staff, and patrons of the Lee's Summit R-7 School District . This charitable organization is managed by a voting Board of Directors and a non-voting Advisory Council composed of community members.
